Things to do and see in The Gers

Château de Larrouzé is a perfect location for a relaxing holiday and there are so many things to do and see in the Gers.

We have noticed that there are lots of people who really do not want to have to organise activities once they have arrived at the château but still want to get to know the area. There are so many things to do and see in the Gers.

What's on in The Gers

Here are just a few examples of what you can see and do within a short distance of Château de Larrouzé.

For the festivals be sure to book early to secure your accommodation, in particular when visiting the International Jaz Festival at Marciac (21 July - 6 August) and the International Latino Festival in Vic-Fezensac (27-30 July).

Gers Sightseeing

Sightseeing day – visit to some of the best know places in the Gers including Fourcès, Lectoure, La Romieu, Eauze

Visit local markets. They all have very different characters but exemplify continuing French focus on local produce

Wine and Armagnac tasting tour, with guided domaine visits

Guided cycling days, also see Vineyard Velo

Days out canoeing, horse-riding or even an assault course. These are usually half day excursions

Visit to artisan workshops including a local forge to find out how hand-crafted knives are made, pottery workshop
